Google Releases the Fitbit Edge

Google’s newest Fitbit tracker, the Fitbit Edge, was released today. From the Google News blog post announcing the tracker:

Many people are looking for a wearable that sits between an advanced smartwatch like Pixel Watch and the quiet simplicity of a band like Fitbit Air. That’s Fitbit Edge. It’s small and comfortable but also a powerful daily companion that’s designed to help you reach your wellness goals. It combines Fitbit’s trusted health expertise with Google’s refined design and everyday helpfulness. Encased in durable recycled aluminum, 3 it features a slim, comfortable profile that naturally contours to your wrist. Despite the lightweight design, it delivers weekend-to-weekend battery life. 4

This looks like a pretty neat fitness tracker that has some smartwatch features, as well. I like the look of the OLED display, which can be customized with different faces. Based on what I’ve seen on the Fitbit website, I think the Fitbit Edge looks like a pretty neat device!
